That's the goal The Empathy Project walks you towards.
"The culture is kind and inclusive - it's wonderful." As the person responsible for Student Wellbeing, this is what you want your families to say.
Achieve it with The Empathy Project, a digital resource for primary schools that builds social and emotional intelligence using a combination of neuroscience research and The Arts.
THE EMPATHY PROJECT INCLUDES...
A Musical Theatre Show
4 Lesson Plans & Videos
Psychotherapy and Creative Arts Expertise & Support
A classroom resource for K - 6 that will enhance the environment within which children learn and grow.
Designed to provide schools with a 'Press Play' resource, The Empathy Project will cover your SEL, Critical and Creative Thinking and Drama and Music curriculum.
The resource starts with an animated musical story featuring relatable, diverse characters facing challenges familiar to children.
After watching the musical, the children will feel a natural connection with the Musical Sprouts characters and a familiarity with the concepts they'll be exploring. Warmed up and ready to learn.
Led by the Musical Sprouts characters via short videos, the students participate in activities based on neuroscience research and psychotherapy expertise that engage their whole bodies.
Within the show there are 4 props that are popular tools in psychodrama to assist with behavioural management. We will show you how to use them so you can spend more time teaching and less time disciplining.
